Last year CPH:DOX showed documentaries in selected Danish municipalities with the initiative DOX:ON:TOUR. Now the project is expanding and the festival will be screening movies in all municipalities in Region Sjælland and additionally in the Swedish region of Scania (Skåne).

Since the beginning of CPH:DOX in 2003 the festival has experienced a remarkable growth and this years festival will in terms of geography be the largest ever. Last years festival marked the beginning of a new more regional focus; the result was DOX:ON:TOUR – a collaboration between CPH:DOX and KulturMetropolØresund. In 2014 festival-goers could thus for the first time watch the popular festival documentaries, not only in Copenhagen, but also in selected municipalities at Zealand.

This year the project is expanding with even more municipalities in eastern Denmark participating. It is with support from Wonderful Copenhagen that also the Swedish cities of Malmö, Helsingborg and Lund get screenings this year.

CPH:DOX wishes to make documentaries even more accessible for a wider audience, and by spreading out the festival to more regions in Denmark and Sweden it will be possible for even more people to attend the third largest documentary film festival in the world.

DOX:ON:TOUR is in 2015 supported by the cultural grant of Region Sjælland. The programme of DOX:ON:TOUR will be announced during the fall on this site.
