For many years, CPH:DOX and VICE have presented various events together during the festival, but this is the first time that the dynamic duo team for three whole events.

PC Music+ Girls Night Out vs. ‘DRIB’

We are celebrating the European premiere of the Norwegian filmmaker Kristoffer Borglis’ tremendously entertaining meta-hybrid film,’DRIB’. Afterwards, the record company and the post-Internet phenomenon PC Music, which made the soundtrack for the film,  will perform a double dj-set in the theater’s foyer. Afterwards, the sound of Girls Night Out will fill the theater with colorful candypop. ‘DRIB’ reconstructs the incredible but true story of a failed and violent marketing plan for an energy drink brand. Questions about real and fake, art and advertising are mixed up in a heavy cocktail. Dance through the evening & have a bubbling soda cocktail with us!

Shiny Darkly + Soren Solkær vs. ‘Shot!’

The music film ‘Shot! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock’ is an epic retrospective of British Mick Rock’s life as a photographer for (and friend of) people like Lou Reed, David Bowie and Iggy Pop, a life of concerts and wild parties in communities around London’s glam-rock scene and New York’s punk underground. In cooperation with VICE, we’re celebrating the film with an evening dedicated to music, photography, music, visuals, and last but not least, its famous icons.  Shiny Darkly will give a concert in the foyer and the country’s most prominent music photographer, Søren Solkær, is dropping by for a talk about the special bond between music and photography, and as well as his meeting with the champion, Mick Rock. Afterwards we’ll be moving to Natbar to continue the party there!

March 17, 20:30, Bremen Theatre. Tickets + more.

The evening will start with a screening of this year’s most entertaining film ‘DRIB’ by the Norwegian star Kristoffer Borgli, continuing with a free party with VICE and Natbar. We’ve invited British Powell to kick off the evening’s soundtrack with a mix of techno, electro and no-wave punk, which has been compared to Suicide, followed by the Norwegian synthpop duo Smerz lighting up the dance floor. To celebrate the end of the cold, dark Winter, Danish TAN will be spreading spring-break vibes and Natbar’s resident DJs will play us into the brighter nights ahead.
