In partnership with CPH:DOX, educational platform DAAcademy launches a new course on contemporary documentary film analysis containing 6 European films.
DA Academy is an innovative online school offering courses on the art of documentary cinema to secondary school and university teachers. The course catalogue offers educational materials for particular films from historical documentary through to contemporary works, utilising a variety of creative approaches.
The new additions to the catalogue include: At Home in the World, which premiered at CPH:DOX 2015, a stark portrayal of the struggles of a Chechnyan child seeking asylum in Denmark; Louisa, a sensitive account of the world of those suffering from hearing loss; and Quantum an experimental piece exploring the space between cinematic expression and the documenting of reality.
The course catalogue offers 16 different film classes suitable for teachers of students over 12 years old. More at www.daacademy.org
